The only thing 15-year-old Sunny shares with her stern paternal grandfather, Donald, is a love of old movies. Against his wishes she escapes the suburban tedium of their family estate to watch films on Hollywood's Sunset Boulevard. When he dies she inherits his prized possession, a film projector for American silent films from the 1920s.Without realizing what she has done or that her life is about to change forever, Sunny packs up the projector and heads west for new adventures in Los Angeles where movie premieres are still attended by royalty and even the President!
